The eye-catchy Rann of Kutch is the biggest flatbed of infinite white sands. This is the place where the celebration of the festival of life takes place. This whole land-stretch stays coated in water until 2 months before December however once winter comes, the Kutch is infused with life. It is almost like a hibernating white desert.
Starting in Bhuj, the
white desert festival covers the entire district whereby the grand finale is placed up at the main destination of the tent town close to a small village called Dhordo. Dhordo is easily approachable from Bhuj. Bhuj features a small airport from where Dhordo is just 86 km.
The splendidly organized tent city at Dhordo provides you with every possible amenity that you will consider. Room-heaters and air-conditioners to 24/7 hours of hot water supply in the middle of the desert, you may need for nothing once faced with the intense temperatures of Kutch. With the exception of the 400 tents, the city features a marketplace, an exhibition center, an adventure zone, and 2 monumental eating halls.

There are also a few moderate adventure rides that are geared towards kids. The tourists can also participate in Camel Cart Excursion, Golf Cart, ATV Ride among others. At nights you can also take a walk near the tent and have a sight of the starry skies. The traveler can even visit some splendid temples like Narayan Sarovar or the Kera Shiv Temple. For those who love nature, the Kutch desert wildlife is nearby and here you will explore the distinctive animals of the state.
