RJ Shruti, 92.7 BIG FM, Wins 'RJ OF THE YEAR' at India Radio Forum 2019

It was raining accolades for 92.7 BIG FM, one of India's largest radio networks, at the recently held India Radio Forum 2019 as they went on to win fourteen awards. The radio station claimed the maximum titles in the 'RJ of the Year' category at Excellence in Radio Awards, a prestigious award platform that acknowledges and celebrates outstanding content and creativity in the radio industry. Among the fourteen titles, BIG FM's RJ Shruti won the 'RJ of the Year' award under Kannada category and her popular 'BIG Coffee' show on 92.7 BIG FM Bengaluru received the winning title under the 'Best Radio Show-Kannada'. RJ Shruti currently hosts the revamped show of BIG Coffee- 'Pataki Mornings' from 7 AM to 11 AM every day. BIG Coffee' wins best show The Bengaluru station also bagged the runner-up title for 'Best Radio Promo' – In-House (Kannada) for campaign Drink and Drive Radio Test. Apart from 'RJ of the Year' titles for Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Marathi category, BIG FM also won golds for various categories, including Best Radio Show (Non-Breakfast-Hindi), Best Radio Show (Kannada), Best Radio Show (Marathi), Best Radio Show (Hindi- Non-metro station), Best Radio Sparkler (Hindi).   Sharing her experience of winning the award, RJ Shruti said, "This is a hat-trick. Every time I receive an award it's like the first time for me and a dream come true. I call the IRF as the Oscar of Radio and it's as good as winning an Oscar. This year too, I saw myself going on stage and receiving the award. I could feel all this even before the results were announced. I have won two awards: 'RJ of the Year' and Best radio show for 'BIG Coffee' in Kannada category. My prayers have been answered once again. This only means I have to put more effort into the awards next year and the homework for this has already begun. I would like to thank everyone who believed in me.
