It has been seen that Malnutrition is a very common problem in children with symptomatic CHD. Statistics have shown that 78,000 infants & children die of congenital heart diseases in India every year, which is nearly 15.1% of newborn babies every year. The past initiative of this fundraising has yielded great response and helped to give the children a new hope to live their life a new.
It was in the year 2017, 28th May, when this fundraising had started with a musical night where celebrities like Anindya Chatterjee,Haimanti Sukla, Rituparna Sengupta, Jojo, Anweshaa, Aditi Munshi and others have endorsed their support for the fundraising. This was followed by the second successful initiative which was a treasure hunt car rally showcased on the 21st Jan 2018 at Ordinance club where people from the Army, celebrities, and business houses had lend their support immensely. The third initiative was on 26Th August 2018, AT NAZRUL MANCHA called HRIDAYA RETRO MELODIES where various artists of SA RE GA MA PA fame, along with MR ANANDJI VIRJI SHAH, who was given The LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD.It would be great to know that 35 children with congenital heart diseases have already been successfully treated with the help of this fund and are now on the road to recovery. They are expecting that they would be able to raise fund for another 50 children.
This year 2019, the fundraising would happen through an adventure car rally. ‘DRIVE HRIDAYA’ Season 2 will also witness a wide variety of activities throughout the event. The flag off will take place at 09:30 am; showcasing of supercars that will take place between 11:00 am to 01:30 pm followed by a musical break to engage the crowd to the latest tunes. After that, there will be a few activities to entertain the kids to keep them occupied and followed by the grand Awards & Felicitation by the Celebrities at 03:00 pm (STAR CAST OF MUKHO MUKHI). Drive Hridaya will be an event to remember for all.
