Ms. Vedaxari Joshi, Founder, All 'Bout Communication
Entrenched with experience in her early 20’s Vedaxari started to carve her own path with her best friend by launching their first venture of media agency which lasted for a brief period of time. During this stint, she learnt her second important lesson “never mix personal relationships with professional life or it becomes a cocktail which most cannot handle”. After tasting this cocktail she decided to quit entrepreneurship for good and resumed back to working for a leading PR firm Clea PR. The hectic lifestyle that the role demanded took a toll on her health and caused a back injury. As Ralph Emerson rightly said “The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be,” becoming an entrepreneur was after all her calling. She had to take a sabbatical and rethink her career path. On 2012, she, therefore, started working as an independent consultant and soon bagged Bikram Hot Yoga’s India Launch as her first retainer account. In 2013, she started working on an IP called ‘Mehfil With Pankaj Udhas’ where she did end to end execution, from concept to event report. Struggles and failures hadn’t given up on her yet. Just before 2 months of the event date and right after the artists & venue were blocked, she learnt that the client’s agency has failed to complete most of the crucial tasks which included various aspects like getting media partners, advertising plan, sponsors, catering, invites and the list was unending. She took charge of the event, all by herself and pulled of a successful Ghazal evening on 13th November 2013 at Celebration Club which witnessed a footfall of more than 600 people.
In 2014, she finally formed All ‘Bout Communication (ABC), an agency that is bootstrapped and profitable from Day 1. Today, it is one of the emerging startups growing at a consistent pace of 30% per annum. One of the unique achievements of ABC is that it handles 6 competitors (Jewellery brands) in a sensitive space like PR, without any conflict of interest. It also provides for a flexible work environment which allows the team to work in the manner they like provided the desired results are delivered. In addition, a happy-go-lucky work culture exists in the agency wherein members are encouraged to ‘work hard and party even harder’. The number of employees has increased in just a short space of time. Recently, she has also formed an HR consultancy called “THC- The Hiring Co.” which caters to HR requirements of leading corporates PAN India.
