The Danish sport
style brand Hummel enters physical Indian retail space with 5 stores in Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Surat, and Amritsar respectively. With the launch of these stores, the company has embarked on a physical retail expansion drive to cater to the millennial by offering a wide array of its high-performance, stylish and durable range of products. This was disclosed by hummel India Director, Mr. Soumava Naskar at a Press Conference today.
Hummel invited Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan, also the brand ambassador to launch the store in Bangalore. hummel’s Bangalore store spread over sprawling 1700 sq ft area has a double storey design, which allows the customers to experience the versatility of hummel’s style offerings. The stores have on display, the summer 2019 collection featuring key product categories including sneakers, track pants, T-Shirts, hoodies, bags, accessories &sports shoes. The patented Danish design is rooted but uber trendy, fun yet easy going - especially targeted at the millennial. The chevrons on hummel apparel and footwear is the iconic brand symbol.
At the store opening, Kartik Aaryan said, “In Hummel, I see a perfect fit. hummel appeals to my style sensibilities, it is bold, fashionable, creative and youthful. I am excited that Hummel has entered the retail space and I am sure that the Indian audience will love the designs that Hummel has bought to India.”

In association with Hummel, he said, "I'm really excited. Hummel coming to India is a big thing and helping others through sports, being socially active actually I can relate to. Having said that I love all the clothes. I don't see other brands coming up with such styles in athleisure. It's very today, futuristic as well. I'm happy with the association and I'm really excited. We will do more and more with Hummel. "Limitless" is the word he describes the brand, Hummel.
On being quizzed about the social causes Hummel is supporting, Kartik mentioned that he collaborating, Kartik mentioned that he collaborated with the brand because he personally loves sports and that attracted him towards the brand and other causes too he will think about it in near future as Hummel believes in Karma. He urges the Bangaloreans to come to the store and give immense love to Hummel.
Hummel is the world acclaimed Danish sportswear and lifestyle major comes with a 95-year-old legacy positioned to "change the world through sport", is now foraying into India. Initially, launched on e-commerce platforms like Myntra and Jabong, the company is on an aggressive expansion drive to open retail outlets across 12-15 cities in India.
Detailing further, Mr. Naskar said, “Our products are retailed both online and offline at the same price points. We are targeting to open around 15 stores in the current fiscal out of which 5 are operational now. We are investing substantially to develop our backend & also on our consumer-facing brand communication.”
